Mayor Tom Henry today encouraged City residents to take an online survey about how government can better inform and engage them in ways to improve their community and neighborhoods.

The survey is available by visiting www.fwcommunitydevelopment.org/survey and will only take a few minutes to complete. The survey is only nine questions, plus several demographic questions.

“For decades, residents and neighborhood leaders have worked hand in hand with City departments in order to move our community forward in the right direction,” said Mayor Henry. “We want to continue our partnerships and find ways to build on our efforts to engage more residents and neighborhood groups.”

Community Development staff hope to learn what types of information residents would like to get from City government and how they would like to receive it, for example by postal mail, email, social media or other methods. The survey also asks how residents would like to work with City leaders to improve the quality of life in their neighborhoods.

After the results of the survey are completed, Community Development staff will make recommendations to the Mayor about ways to enhance communication between government and local residents.
