The federal department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) identifies one day each year, usually the final Wednesday in January, as the Point in Time count of the homeless population throughout the United States. Volunteers and organizations utilize different means to identify and acquire demographic information about the sheltered and unsheltered population in our community.
