As part of the upcoming Regional Neighborhood Network Conference (RNNC), United Faith Presbyterian Church and the Nebraska Neighborhood are working together on a community mural.
Local artist Tim Parsley has been working with church and neighborhood representatives to design a mural that community members can help paint. It will be painted on the church, located at 1616 W. Main St. and will represent residents working together to create a vibrant and caring community.
This Saturday, September 14 the public is invited to join the fun and help paint any time between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the church, located at 1616 W. Main St. Interested residents should call the church at 260-424-5610 to sign up for a 30 minute time slot to paint, or they can simply drop in and volunteer to paint.
The majority of the work will be completed this coming Saturday, but a portion will remain for people attending the upcoming RNNC, September 19-21 in Fort Wayne. Approximately 300 people will attend the conference from cities throughout the Midwest; the goal of the annual conference is to strengthen neighborhood associations and to promote productive communication and collaboration between those neighborhood associations and the public and private sectors. Registrations are still available for the conference by visiting www.RNNConference.com.
