Fort Wayne, Ind. - The City of Fort Wayne’s Community Development Division in collaboration with the Packard Area Planning Alliance (PAPA) will host a series of open house events at Wunderkammer Company beginning January 10th.

These events will be an opportunity for residents and business owners review and provide feedback on proposed goals, policies, and action steps related to the new Packard 2030 Neighborhood Plan, which is scheduled for completion by summer 2022. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

Fort Wayne, Ind. – Site work to clear the way for construction of The Lofts at Headwaters Park is set to begin in January.  The “Lofts” will be a six-story mixed-use building that will include 217 apartments, 15 townhomes, 12,000 square feet of commercial space and a parking garage with 651 spaces.

The project site is bounded by Duck, Clinton, Superior, and Barr Streets.  It is currently owned by the Fort Wayne Redevelopment Commission.  The Commission has contracted with Bunn Construction to complete the soil removal and site preparation work.

Fort Wayne, Ind. – Mayor Tom Henry today announced that with the leadership and help from the City of Fort Wayne’s Office of Housing and Neighborhood Services, $50,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding will now go toward efforts to again help provide overnight accommodations for individuals and families in need this winter season.

Fort Wayne, Ind. – The City of Fort Wayne today announced history was made when St. Joseph Missions Women’s Shelter was opened. The shelter addresses a key service gap because it is the first 24/7/365 emergency shelter that exclusively serves single women who are experiencing homelessness.

The City of Fort Wayne today celebrated this milestone at St. Joseph Missions Women’s Shelter, 3505 Lake Avenue with a special ceremony.
