The 2019 Draft Annual Action Plan outlining how the City of Fort Wayne will invest U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) dollars this year is now available for public review. Residents can view the plan online at www.FWCommunityDevelopment.org/actionplan or can read a hard copy during normal business hours at the Pontiac Branch of the Allen County Public Library, 2215 S. Hanna St., and at the front desk of the City’s Community Development offices, 200 E. Berry St., Suite 320.
The plan will be presented at a public meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 6 p.m. at the Community Center, 233 W. Main St.
Every year, the City must submit an Annual Action Plan, which serves as an outline for how that year’s Federal HUD dollars will be spent. All HUD dollars must be used to improve the quality of life for low- to moderate-income residents.
The public is encouraged to look through the plan and learn more about the anticipated projects and programs the City will support through its HUD dollars. The plan will continue to be updated throughout the comment period as input is provided by stakeholders and the public.
Comments regarding the 2019 Annual Action Plan, compiled by the City’s Office of Housing & Neighborhood Services, will be accepted in writing now through May 8, 2019.
