The City of Fort Wayne’s Redevelopment Department is inviting residents to a public meeting about the preliminary findings from a recent downtown parking study. The study includes an inventory of available downtown parking, an analysis of current and future demand for parking, and possible strategies to accommodate future growth.

The meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 29, 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Omni Room, which is in the lower level of Citizens Square, 200 E. Berry St.

A brief 20-minute presentation will detail the findings from the study conducted by a consultant team including American Structurepoint, Nelson/Nygaard and MKSK. After that, residents will be invited to visit several tables that will provide information about possible strategies for managing short-term parking demand, improving customer experience in public parking facilities, updating technology, improving wayfinding, and ensuring adequate parking supply to accommodate future development.

Residents will have an opportunity to talk with City staff and consultants and provide input on the suggested recommendations.
