CARES Act COVID-19 Response

The City of Fort Wayne has been allocated Emergency Solutions Grant and Community Development Block Grant funds under the Coronavirus, Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act). These special funds are being used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) pandemic in our community. 

The following activities are being funded through the City's CARES Act funding:

CARES Act - Community Development Block Grant (CDBG-CV):

Brightpoint: Financial Assistance - $400,000.00

Indiana Legal Services: Tenant Assistance Legal Clinic: $258,500.00

Blue Jacket: COVID-19 Nonprofit Cleaning: $50,000.00

Brightpoint: Small Business Assistance: $350,000.00

Associated Churches: Food Bank - $80,000.00

Wellspring: Food Bank Pandemic Response: $15,569.00

Amani Family Services: Immigrant/Refugee COVID-19 Services: $106,811.00

YMCA: Childcare COVID-19 Response: $122,148.00

Healthier Moms & Babies: Prenatal Home Visit Program: $41,085.00

The League for the Blind: Community Living Program: $20,000.00

Health Visions Midwest: Community Outreach & Virtual Programming: $25,000.00

Winter Contingency Plan: $105,105.00

Just Neighbors/The Lutheran Foundation: Women's Emergency Shelter: $51,124.82

Brightpoint: Emergency Housing Hotel Vouchers: $270,000.00

United Way: Recovery Site: $200,000.00

St. Joseph Missions: Women's Shelter: $225,000.00

Street Outreach: $25,395.00

Emergency Shelter: $300,000.00

Homelessness Prevention: $400,000.00

Rapid Re-Housing: $283,979.13
