Business Planning Education – Powered by SEED

The Build Institute is an nine-week basic business education program for idea-stage and early-stage business builders. The Institute helps you identify and hone strengths and develop meaningful connections with like-minded individuals and organizations. 

Groups of up to 12 participants meet once a week for three hours. The nine-week program provides a total of 27 education and community building hours for new business builders.  Below is the current list of scheduled business planning classes.  Additional classes will be scheduled throughout 2020.

    • May 14 through July 9, Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. @ SEED Fort Wayne, 1830 Wayne Trace, Fort Wayne, IN 46803  Register Here  

    • June 6 through August 8, Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. @ Junior Achievement, 550 E. Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825  **Due to Independence Day, there will be no classes on July 4**   Register Here 

Education, resources, and community building are included in the $175 participant investment fee. Upon successful completion of the Build Institute nine-week program and business coaching sessions, participants will receive this money back as an investment in their business future. The program fee includes:

      • Curriculum book and facilitation
      • Subject matter expert presentations
      • CliftonStrengths assessment
      • Food and beverage, class-time childcare

Who is Ready for Build Institute Fort Wayne?

This business and project planning class is designed for aspiring and early entrepreneurs. 

Classes are led by trained facilitators and cover the basics of starting a business—from establishing an entity to financial literacy, market research to cash flow, loan types to cost-benefit analyses, and more. During the cohort, subject matter experts (such as lawyers, accountants, bankers, and marketing professionals) will be in classes to help with questions and specific topics.

Participants are provided the tools to leave the class with a completed business plan.  They also are connected to fellow entrepreneurs and local service organizations.  The curriculum and CliftonStrengths assessment are designed to support participants' confidence to take their ideas to the next level
