NEW! The City’s Office of Housing and Neighborhood Services (OHNS) will be opening a Homeowner Repair Program for seniors and persons with disabilities on Monday, November 7, 2016.
Eligible residents will receive grants up to $10,000 to make their homes more accessible or to complete minor rehabilitation projects.
How can residents apply? Beginning November 7, 2016, residents may call 260-427-8585 Mondays through Thursdays between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for a pre-screening conversation. On Fridays, residents may call between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon. If the resident is preliminarily determined to be eligible, they will be asked to fill out an application and submit it as soon as possible to OHNS.
Funding for this program comes from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and is limited. Residents will be served on a first-come first-serve basis and the program will be closed once funds are depleted.
